Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Mylestone ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Mylestone is a progress-tracking platform for individuals, professionals, and organizations. Depending on the features you use, the Service may include public profiles, public milestone pages, social interactions, AI-assisted milestone tools, professional-client collaboration features, organization-admin tools, billing features, notifications, APIs, tokens, and integrations.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You are also responsible for activity that occurs through API tokens, agent connections, or other integrations that you create, authorize, or fail to secure.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
You must notify us immediately at security@mylestone.app of any known or suspected unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or abusive.
- Upload content that infringes any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems or networks.
- Use the Service to distribute malware or engage in phishing activities.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service.
- Misuse API tokens, organization tooling, automation, or AI agents to act beyond your authority.
- Use the Service to impersonate others or misrepresent professional qualifications.
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you upload to Mylestone. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, format, adapt, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Service and the visibility settings, collaboration features, exports, moderation workflows, and product functions you choose to use.
If you choose to publish content publicly, you understand that it may be visible to other users and to the public internet. You must have the rights, permissions, and legal basis needed to upload and share the content, including personal data of other people where applicable.
6. Public Profiles, Professionals, and Off-Platform Relationships
The Service may allow users to maintain professional profiles, present qualifications, connect with clients, exchange proposals, and collaborate on milestones. Professional claims are generally self-declared unless the Service explicitly states otherwise.
Mylestone does not endorse, guarantee, supervise, or become a party to off-platform professional services or payment arrangements between users. Unless we explicitly launch a separate marketplace payment product on different terms, fees for professional services are handled directly between the relevant users outside the Service.
7. Organizations and Admin-Managed Workspaces
If you use the Service through an organization, organization admins, mentors, operators, or other authorized staff may be able to manage access, view member content within the relevant workspace, configure branding or security settings, request data exports, and review records generated inside the organization features.
8. Payments and Subscriptions
Personal and organization subscriptions are billed through Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before renewal. You can manage or cancel supported subscriptions through the relevant billing settings in the Service.
Certain features, limits, or AI/video capabilities may vary by plan, package, organization, or admin configuration. Refunds, cancellation timing, taxes, and consumer rights may depend on your jurisdiction and the plan terms in effect at the time of purchase. [Placeholder — confirm final refund, withdrawal, renewal-notice, and cancellation wording before publication.]
9. Artificial Intelligence and Generated Outputs
The Service may use AI systems to assist with milestone creation, analyze progress, moderate content, or generate recap videos and related outputs. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable for your circumstances.
AI-generated outputs are provided for informational, organizational, and motivational purposes only. They are not medical, mental-health, fitness, legal, financial, employment, tax, or other professional advice, and they should not be relied on as a substitute for qualified human judgment.
10. Moderation, Reports, and Enforcement
We may monitor, review, remove, restrict, or disable content and accounts where we believe it is necessary to enforce these Terms, investigate reports, protect users, or comply with legal obligations. This may include review of reported public content and reported private collaboration content where review is necessary for a safety or policy decision.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, successful delivery of notifications, or that the Service will always be secure or free from harmful components.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mylestone and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100, to the extent permitted by law. [Placeholder — confirm the final liability cap and mandatory-law carveouts before publication.]
13. Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for the Service or other users, or if we must do so for legal, security, or operational reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through Settings where self-service deletion is available.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When required, we will provide notice through the Service, by email, or by other appropriate means before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — to be confirmed before going live], except to the extent mandatory consumer-protection or other non-waivable laws apply. Any disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
